Meet your chef
Hi, I'm Luke. Cooking is my passion and I'm delighted to bring you Luke's Larder.
I have been cooking since a very early age, it is one of my first memories. I followed my passion and worked for various fabulous businesses like The Pig Group, Davy's Wine Bars and Pythouse Kitchen Garden. I have worked in pretty much every capacity, from sommelier to chef, kitchen porter to restaurant manager. Throughout that journey, I have always been obsessed with quality food and great service.
There is something truly special about sitting around table a with friends and family and enjoying an excellent meal. If my larder can help this happen, I am very happy indeed!
The Modern Larder
The name "Larder" is a nod to the traditional, well-stocked pantry—a space of abundance, preservation, and high-quality staples. That's exactly what we aim Luke's Larder to be for you: restaurant quality food at home, without the effort.
There are many occasions in which Luke's Larder is a great idea. Perhaps you have a dinner party coming up and don't want to cook? Mid week treat? You have been designated to bring dessert to a dinner party but don't have time? Don't worry, we have got you covered.
What you can find in our larder
We hand-make all the food in Dorset with care and dedication, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Most of our menu is Gluten free, with Dairy free options available too.
You will not find reductions, demi-glaces, gels and foams (absolutely not) but lovingly prepared food using techniques learnt in restaurants.
The menu has been inspired, not only by some of the British classics, but also food from France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, India and Africa to name but a few. You will find all these influences in the menu.
This is restaurant quality food at home, so take a look at the dishes, choose what you like and relax!
